Facts: The five-year survival rate from advanced lung cancer is only 14% and has not changed over the past 25 years. The latest research by the physicians of the Early Lung Cancer Action Project (ELCAP) showed that repeating low dose MDCT screening on an annual basis discovered 83 % of lung cancers in the earliest most curable stage, these findings give new hope to people at high risk for lung cancer.
