InHealth Imaging Receives ACR Accreditation
InHealth Imaging in Poulsbo, WA has been awarded a three-year term of accreditation in Mammography as the result of a recent survey by the American College of Radiology.
The ACR, headquartered in Reston, VA, awards accreditation to facilities for the achievement of high practice standards after a peer-review evaluation of its practice. Evaluations are conducted by board certified physicians and medical physicists who are experts in the field. They assess the qualifications of the personnel and the adequacy of facility equipment. The surveyors report their findings to the ACR’s Committee on Accreditation, which subsequently provides the practice with a comprehensive report.
The ACR is a national organization serving more than 32,000 diagnostic/interventional radiologists, radiation oncologists and medical physicists with programs for focusing on the practice of medical imaging and radiation oncology and the delivery of comprehensive health care services.

InHealth Imaging adds Breast MRI
A new advance in the detection of breast cancer is available at InHealth Imaging. Magnetic resonance imaging or MRI is a non-invasive imaging procedure that is used to analyze the inside of the breast. MRI does not use X-rays to make images; instead, MRI creates images through a combination of steady and changing magnetic fields and pulsing radio signals. Recent reports have shown that MRI can detect small breast lesions that are sometimes missed by mammography. MRI can also effectively image dense breasts, usually found in younger women, as well as breast implants.
Underlining our commitment to providing the best in women’s healthcare, every breast MRI performed at InHealth Imaging is processed through CADstreamTM. The CADstream system helps physicians read MR images more efficiently, provide more standardized breast MRI data and create enhanced reports for referring physicians and patients.
Dr. Henne states, "Breast MRI is the most sensitive problem solving tool for inconclusive mammograms."
